PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR CLUB MEMBERS TO GET INVOLVED by collecting pledges and joining us! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place patches will be awarded for clubs that raise the most money. A JFS pin is earned for those individuals who collect $100 (or greater). Blue, red, green, and purple hats are awarded for $250, $500, $750 and $1,000 for each individual who collects those pledge amounts. New for this year is a $2000 hat since we had one Lion who had collected that much in pledges.
It would be great to see lots of Lions earning those colored hats!

Our District-wide Service Project for Lions and Leos to repurpose eyeglass cases to make Care Kits:
Compact Care Kits with basic supplies (e.g., personal items). They provide a sense of dignity, care, and
human connection. They can be distributed to homeless shelters, food pantries, Veterans, etc. in our
communities.
PHASE 1: Collect gently-used hard-cover and soft-cover (fabric) cases. Box them separately from the
eyeglasses. Label the box with your Club’s name and the number of cases.
PHASE 2: Deliver the cases to the Eyeglass Extravaganza on Saturday, April 25 at the Putnam Lions
Memorial Dog Park, Putnam (8:30 am to 10 am)

Many children in foster care carry their belongings in a trash bag.
