8:30 – 11:00 a.m. – Presidents Seminar: Presenters: PCC Ken Tucker and PDG Sue Fisher – Designed for Incoming Club Presidents and those aspiring to become a future Club President. This seminar will cover the basics and more! All aspiring leaders are also encouraged to attend this seminar.
8:30 – 11:00 a.m. – Secretaries Seminar: Presenter: ZC Paula Roswell – Designed for Incoming Club Secretaries and those aspiring to become a future Club Secretary. It will cover more than just the basics, including Lions Portal reporting and more! If possible, please bring either a laptop, Chromebook, or an iPad, as this will be an interactive seminar! Thank you!
8:30 – 11:00 a.m. – Treasurers Seminar – Presenters: Cabinet Treasurer Maryjane Malavasi and ZC Bill Wilson – Designed for Incoming Club Treasurers and those aspiring to become a Club Treasurer! Club treasurer’s responsibilities vary according to regional practices and established Club procedures! Essential for all interested Lions!
8:30 – 11:00 a.m. – Membership Chairs Seminar – Presenter: PDG Michele Wyatt – The focus of this seminar will be that of the “Missions 1.5 Lions Clubs Program” which aims to impact over 200 million lives through service and to increase membership to 1.5 million Lions and Leos. This is a very timely and informative seminar! A must for all Membership Chairpersons and all interested Lions!
8:30-11:00 a.m. – KidSight USA Pediatric Vision Screening Training – Presenters: Certified KS Screener Lion Debra Wilkie and KidSight USA Team Members. This seminar will be a hands-on session to acquaint you with the KidSight USA Pediatric Vision Screening program and equipment and explain how to become a Certified KidSight screener! A must for all interested Lions!
8:30-11:00 a.m. – New Member Orientation – Features: Leadership, Membership and Service Opportunities – Presenter: PDG Dr. Keith Lemire – Covering: Who are Lions? Benefits of being a Lion! History, Club Officers, along with information regarding Leadership, Membership and Service! A wonderful seminar for all new and interested Lions!
8:30-11:00 a.m. – Marketing/Public Relations – Presenters: GSTC Doria Daviau and Lion Greg Wind – Covering “All Media” on How to Toot Your Own Horn! Come and discover how Lions can use all media to make a bigger impact by connecting with other community organizations, leaders, and the general-public to spread the word about your Lions club and how you serve!

8:30 – 9:45 & 9:50 – 11:05 a.m. – Tail Twisting Seminar – Presenters: ZC Darla Pigeon and Lion Sandra Parsons – "The Tail Twister" is an officer and the "Pep Master" extraordinaire of his/her Lions Club. He/she promotes harmony, good fellowship, and enthusiasm at Club meetings! Come and join in on the “excitement” of this enjoyable seminar! Be prepared to have FUN!
8:30 – 9:45 & 9:50 – 11:05 a.m. – Fun Fundraising Ideas = Presenter: MD23 Council Chairperson Teri Schlosser – Covering: First-time fundraising tips as well as those that have stood the test of time; how to pick the right fundraising project; getting your fundraiser noticed; ways in which to motivate your club members to participate. And tips for fundraising success! Putting the FUN back in fundraising!
8:30 – 9:45 & 9:50 – 11:05 a.m. – Lions Clubs International Foundation [LCIF] Presenters: LCIF Group A - Area 1 Leader, PDG Mary Krogh & LCIF Co-Chairperson Susan Esty LCIF. LCIF is the official charitable organization of LCI. Learn about the following: Purpose Grants Critical Financial Support and Disaster Relief Programs Food distribution & Partners in serving our local communities Humanitarian projects How to request a Melvin Jones Fellowship, and more.
8:30 – 9:45 & 9:50 – 11:05 a.m. – Succession Planning – Presenter: SVDG Joanne Davis – Focus of this seminar is to assist with the planning and process of identifying and developing future Lions Club leaders. It will also aid you in assessing current and future talent needs, identifying capable leaders, and providing them with training, mentoring, and development opportunities.
Presenters: Prior to the end of your seminar, please allow enough time in your classroom to distribute Certificates of Completion. Thank you!
11:10 a.m. – Promptly return to the Hallway near the Media Center.
At 11:20, we will hear from DG Eileen with closing remarks and will be introduced to our Incoming District Governor, Lion Jim Tripp.
General Information:
All Lions, no matter what level of Club involvement, are encouraged to attend these informative seminars. These seminars are designed to assist with becoming knowledgeable about Lions Clubs, involvement and advancement in membership activities, leadership skills, and opportunities to better SERVE your community!
Dress code is casual and Lions Club shirts, vests, etc. are encouraged.
There will be WIFI service available. Kindly feel free to bring either a laptop, Chromebook, or an iPad to any seminar.
Kindly bring notepaper, a highlighter and writing instruments for your seminar(s).
Enter “RHAM High School” parking lot and follow the signs to the designated parking area.
Entrance to the main doors of “RHAM High School” are directly in front of the flag pole area. The registration table will be set up in the front foyer.
Follow signs to find refreshments near the Media Center and gather there for opening and closing remarks.
Follow your Seminar Leader to the designated classroom after DG Eileen’s welcome message.
