Governor Teri shares this important message received from Lions Clubs International

Dear District Governors,

As we head into the second half of this great Lion year, your leadership in recruitment efforts is more important than ever. First, let’s reflect on our achievements, keeping in mind that challenging our clubs to make sure they are working to grow and recruiting new members remains our top priorities for ensuring our clubs' longevity and sustaining a lasting impact in our communities.

Our journey requires a collective commitment. To empower your clubs to achieve year-end goals, consider the following strategies:

Evaluate and Elevate Your Clubs’ Strengths: This tool provided in the Exceeding Expectations resource helps assess your clubs’ strengths and identify areas for improvement. This comprehensive tool ensures that your members feel heard and steers your club toward success. By energizing and engaging your members, you can cultivate a vibrant atmosphere ready to convey the club's message to potential recruits.

Just Ask Guide to Cultivate a Culture of Recruitment: This guide fosters a culture of recruitment within Lions clubs in your district. Highlight the inherent power of teamwork and collaboration, underscoring each member's integral role in the recruitment process. Share the Just Ask! recruitment guide, which is a valuable resource, providing members with the tools to effectively invite new individuals into our Lion family. By collectively working towards the shared goal of membership growth, we unlock the full potential of our impact. Emphasize that inviting new members is a fundamental aspect of the Lion identity, stressing that recruitment is not merely a responsibility but an opportunity for both personal and community growth. Encourage Lions to view each potential member as a chance to expand the reach of our service and fortify our connections.

Your commitment to fostering a culture of recruitment is instrumental in realizing our shared vision for a more impactful Lions club.
