Lion Teri is a retired math teacher and a full-time volunteer, serving our District 23C Lions for the past 7 District Governors. One of her favorite passions is conducting KidSight Vision Screenings for children and was on our Global Membership Team (GMT) Chair, assisting with membership and retention.
Teri has received two International President’s Certificates of Appreciation as well as a Global Action Team Chairperson’s Award, a Centennial Team Excellence Medal, and a District Team Excellence Medal. She attended the USA/Canada Forum in Columbus and LCI’s Advanced Lions Leadership Institute. She is certified from the Lions Faculty Development Institute and has been a presenter at past MidWinter Conferences. She is a progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
Teri is Lion Rodney Schlosser’s wife of 43 years and daughter of Lion Jeanette Knotek. Rod and Teri have three grown children and six grandchildren. She likes a convertible ride with Rod in their Z4 BMW roadster. In her spare time enjoys gardening, walking dogs, the great outdoors and of course, serving others!

As a Ledyard Lion, Eileen has served on the Board of Directors, First Vice President, co-Secretary and two terms as President. On the cabinet she has represented BESB and CRIS. She has served twice as Zone Chair and most recently was Cabinet Secretary. She has been president of the Lions Low Vision Center of Eastern CT. Recently she participated in the Regional Lions Leadership Institute. Her club has honored her with an Ambassador of Sight and a Knight of the Blind. She is also a Melvin Jones Fellow. In addition, she is a member of the American Council of Blind Lions. Throughout her many years as a teacher, she taught language arts and reading in middle school before becoming a teacher of students who are blind or visually impaired. Eileen is believed to be the first teacher reliant on Braille to have been hired by a public school in the State of Connecticut. She resides in Norwich with her fifth guide dog Hannah.

Jim became a Lion in 2018, serving as the Charter President of the Portland Lions Club. He served his club as President for two years and currently serves as a Director. Since 2020, he served District 23C as a member of the Hunger and Homeless Committee, then as Global Service Team Coordinator, and most recently as a District Zone Chair. He is a Melvin Jones Fellow and was awarded a District Team Excellence Medal.
Jim has been active in his community for over two decades. He has served as the long-time president of the Brownstone Quorum, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to the history and development of the Portland Quarries and Riverfront Park. And has served on town boards and commissions, including Parks and Rec, Board of Education, Board of Selectmen, and currently on Water and Sewer Commission.
Lion Jim graduated from University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth with a BS in Engineering in 1991 and from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a MS in Management in 1999. He resides in Portland with his wife, Lion Liz. They have two children, Lion Rebecca and Kaitlyn. Jim is an avid boater and he and his family can often be found relaxing on the Connecticut River.
