The Coventry Lions Club is sponsoring their annual Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast on Monday, May 27th from 7:00am to 10:00am at the First Congregational Church on Main St. ( Rte. 31) Coventry. Breakfast will consist of sausage, pancakes, and eggs. The price for breakfast is $8.00 per person or $15.00 per family with children under 5 for free. We invite all parade goers and participants to come enjoy breakfast while waiting for the parade.
All proceeds go to benefit the Coventry Lions service projects.

A bevy of women, pots of tea, plates of sandwiches, platters of desserts, glamorous (or funny) hats, lots of conversation, and laughter aplenty await the ladies who will attend the English Tea Party sponsored by East Haddam Community Lions. Please come for an enchanted afternoon in our Fairy Gardens.
This annual fundraiser will be held at St. Stephen’s Hall on Saturday, June 1, at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $25 and have always been a hot commodity, so get yours right away. For tickets contact any member of Community Lions or Diane @ 860-434-5611. St. Stephen’s is located at 31 Main St. East Haddam.
The event benefits many organizations like the East Haddam Food Bank, EH Fuel Bank, EH Libraries, EH Senior Center, Eastern Connecticut Low Vision Center, and two scholarships for East Haddam seniors furthering their education.

Bags of Hope provides monogrammed duffle bags filld with comfort items to chilcren in local foster care. Many children in foster care carry their belongs in a trash bag.
